I am a mother of  four fabulous children; all of them attend or attended St. Barnabas Catholic School.  My husband and I have been members of St. B for about 15 years.  Ron is very active in the Men's Club as well as CYO .

I attended Franklin College and graduated with a Journalism Degree and a second concentration in photojournalism.   I worked behind the scenes at WTHR Ch 13 before becoming a weekend anchor and weekday reporter at a CBS affiliate in Lafayette.  Meanwhile, I met my husband and it wasn't long before we discussed having a family.  It was a story I covered while reporting that got me thinking about a career change; a "fluff" story on a first year teacher in the first grade on the first week of school.  The combination of adoring children, the exuberant teacher and the neatly organized school supplies made me feel at home.  I decided then, that I was not going to be the next Jane Pauly but fulfill my mother and grandmother's desire for me to become a teacher.  It's true, mother always knows best, and I have since told her!

Upon finishing my degree, I had a one year old and was about to deliver twins.  I couldn't bear to leave all three  babies so we put teaching on hold and fourteen years later...here I am!  I couldn't ask for a better place to begin my ministry in teaching.  I love our St. Barnabas community.  I feel very blessed that I am walking through the very halls where my children spend most of their day.  An impromptu hug, a wave from across the cafeteria and my heart swells with love for my children who are equally excited to see me in their beloved school.
